Is my data private?

Yes. Verodd is local-first. Your bet history, stakes, money, and tax inputs live on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. We never store a stake, a payout, a profit or loss, or a tax figure on our servers. Some features send us part of a bet to do their job. To grade a bet, the app sends the game and your pick, never an amount, so we can fetch the historical closing line. If you're signed in, it also sends the price you took, which we check and don't keep. While Join the leaderboard is on (it starts on), we keep the verdict: whether the bet beat the close, and by how much. If you use AI import, the slip you pick comes to us to be read, and we keep nothing from it. If you choose to post a pick to the feed, that pick is public and we keep it: the game, the side, the line, the price and later the result, never your stake. In the app, it also shows the sportsbook you bet at, unless you turn that off (You → the gear → Settings → Account → Show my sportsbook). The book is never on the pick's web page or on a picture you share. If you search on the Feed, what you type comes to us to answer that one search, and we never store it. Your handle and display name are findable by their first letters, and Let people find me in search (You → the gear → Settings → Privacy) turns that off. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.

How do I import my bets?

On the Add tab, choose Import and pick a CSV exported from your sportsbook (DraftKings exports and the popular bet-history extension, for DraftKings and FanDuel, are found on their own; other CSV files work too). You'll review every parsed bet before anything is saved. Note: sportsbook exports don't include a closing line, so Verodd looks up the close for each imported bet it can check.

What is "verified CLV," and how do I grade my bets?

CLV (closing-line value) measures whether you beat the market's final price, the best single signal of betting skill. Verodd grades a bet by looking up the independent historical close from a licensed odds source. Only verified closing lines count on what other people see, like your public page and share card. A close you type yourself grades the bet on your own screens only.

From version 2.0.1, Verodd checks your bets by itself once each game has started, and a close it finds replaces one you typed. It checks each time you open the app, and with the app closed when iOS gives it time. To ask right away, tap Verify closing line on the bet, or verify them all from History → Ungraded. Before version 2.0.1, tap "Verify my CLV" in History → Ungraded.

From version 2.0.1, Ungraded lists only the bets Verodd can check that aren't verified yet. If Verodd can't find a close, it tells you why and what you can do. If a bet names only one team, Verodd asks you which game it was.

We can check the close for the NFL, NCAAF, CFL, NBA, NCAAB, WNBA, MLB, NHL, UFC, MMA and boxing. In soccer we check the top leagues and cups, and in tennis the four majors and the 1000-level events. We can't check parlays, props or futures, or golf, NASCAR or F1 bets, and the app says so before you save. A soccer or tennis game outside our list stays ungraded until you type its close.

Verified Record on a public page means a checked record: at least 30 checked bets, with at least 8 in 10 of them posted before the game. It comes by itself. Verified Creator means a creator Verodd works with, like our own account, verodd_official. It doesn't mean a checked record. A page can show both.

Is the tax feature actual tax advice?

No. Verodd's tax engine gives you a well-grounded set-aside estimate (federal progressive brackets + a representative state rate, including the 2026 OBBBA 90% loss cap) and, with Premium, a clean CPA hand-off, but it is an estimate, not tax advice. How do I delete my data?

Open the You tab → the gear → Settings → Your data → Delete all my data. That erases your bets, progress, and tax inputs from the device, and takes your verified results off the leaderboard. Picks you posted stay public, with your name on them, until you delete your account. If you signed in, Delete account on the same card removes your profile, verified results, reactions and tails from our backend too. Your posted picks and comments stay, with your name taken off, so delete a comment first if you want it gone. To remove an email signup, email privacy@verodd.com.
